Our Team
14 dentists. 4 offices. One shared philosophy since the 1970s.
Every dentist on this page practices in Savannah, Bluffton, or Brunswick, and several of them work out of more than one office. Whether you need a routine cleaning, a same-day crown, a dental implant, gum treatment, or a custom appliance for snoring and sleep apnea, the doctor you need is already on this team. You won't be sent to a stranger's office across town to get it.
Savannah, Abercorn Street Office
Harold A. Black, DDS
A Savannah native who has led dental staff at two local hospitals, Dr. Black now fits the custom oral appliances that give many snoring and mild sleep apnea patients a quieter, more comfortable option than a CPAP mask.
- Grew up in Savannah and trained at Emory University.
- Past Chief of Dentistry at two Savannah hospitals, chosen by his peers to lead.
Daniel Carson, DMD, OMFS
Need a wisdom tooth removed or a dental implant placed? Dr. Carson is the practice's dedicated oral surgeon, and he's the one doctor who travels between all three of our communities, so a surgical referral never means starting over with someone new.

- Now teaches other dentists about implant surgery as a guest lecturer at his alma mater.
Rutledge Coleman, Jr., DMD
If your gums bleed or you've been told you have gum disease, Dr. Coleman treats it with a gentle laser that can encourage bone and gum tissue to reattach, often with less cutting and a faster recovery than traditional gum surgery.
- Certificate of Periodontology from the Medical College of Georgia.
- Trained in an advanced laser gum treatment technique at a specialized laser dentistry institute.
Kevin Pfeiffer, DMD
Dr. Pfeiffer handles a little of everything, from root canals to same-day crowns to clear aligners, so many patients can get more than one kind of treatment done without a separate specialist visit.
- Trained at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where he first practiced dentistry alongside his own father.
- Certified Invisalign provider, also experienced with same-day CEREC crowns.
Emily Coniglio, DDS
After dental school, Dr. Coniglio completed an extra year of hands-on hospital-style training, so she's just as comfortable with a routine filling as she is with a root canal or an implant restoration.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery, University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
- Completed a one-year advanced residency in general dentistry after graduating.
Steven Lopez, DMD
Dr. Lopez brings an easygoing, unhurried approach to everyday family dentistry, from cleanings and fillings to the routine checkups that catch small problems before they turn into big ones.

Eric L. Wilkins, DMD
Before he was a dentist, Dr. Wilkins served two combat tours as a U.S. Army cavalry officer. That same steadiness now shows up in calm, patient-centered general, restorative, and cosmetic care.
- Graduated 4th in his class and served as class president at the Dental College of Georgia.
- U.S. Army veteran, two tours with the 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, GA.

Bluffton Office
George A. Townes, DMD
